Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if there's been any word from the devs at all about at gain in the upcoming patch.

Considering that it was heavily nerfed in previous patches, and is at the point where you must almost constantly be seiging to gain any meaningful AT(as battles no longer mean jack, for some stupid reason), I expected AT gain to be changed this patch but uh, I haven't seen any word on it.

If I'm just stupid and blind, and there was clear word on it, forgive me.

I just really hope they haven't forgot to change it.

I really hope so, too.
It would kind defeat the concept of "tall empires" when , in order for your military to stay relevant, you have to constantly wage war anyway. Sure, you can demand other things than territory to stay tall instead of wide, but why?

Even better would be if the effect of AT would be reduced by a lot so that it is not the all important stat everyone needs to keep at 100 to not be overrun in multiplayer.

AT from battles was increased.

Great, so it is still necessary to wage constant wars with your neighbours (wars in far off places likely still won't give any relevant amount of AT) in order to get the all important AT without you can't keep up militarily. Even when you do not intend to spread wide.

When you do not have the intention to reduce the importance of AT, how about giving us an option to boost AT with mil points which increases in cost with province numbers?

That makes no sense. Why would your soldiers & generals learn more from battles just because other think your country is the greatest on the planet.

When you do not have the intention to reduce the importance of AT, how about giving us an option to boost AT with mil points which increases in cost with province numbers?

AT means that your country has plenty of military experience and military think. So you can earn it from war and military idea which means that 'boost AT with mil points'. And the most efficient AT idea is firsr option of 'Defensive'. Isn't it enough?


Isn't AT going to come from quality ideas too?

Yes from streaming at yesterday with DDRJake and Wiz. It'll be revealed todady.

So you get prestige. Still want more? Just show some passion for AT by selecting Defensive or Nobility or Quality idea. A tradition isn't same with prestige.

Ifyou decrease the effect of AT it may as well be removed. Instead there should be more buildings, ideas and polocies that increase AT gains the costs of which are more easily paid by a tall empire
