Any way to support widescreen and higher resolution?

Hey guys, fonts in my vicky and dd look faint on my screen. I know this is because the resolution is not set to 1280*800, which is my laptop's default resolution. All other games have the same problem if resolution is set below 1280*800, but most of them seem to have support for widescreen.

Will Paradox add widescreen support and higher screen resolution to the game, in maybe next patch? Is there any mod for this?

There aren't going to be more patches to this game. The source code has been released and some teams outside Paradox are working on making new versions, but I don't know if any of them will address technical issues such as this.

Playing Vicky on a wide screen is ok if you use window mode. Requires some hex editing though, search the forum for more info.

I think there was a exe-editor that enabled this, but probably the interface would be buggy and would need to mod that too.
I saw people doing that in HoI. Not sure about Vicky.

I am playing with 1280*800 and full screen. That is OK. Nothing wrong or looking bad.

Each to their own. Personally I couldn't play with the stretched graphics

I did try a hex editor from the HoI forums but it didn't work. In the end I just went with the default resolution

If you used a hex editor it probably just screwed your sabe.
Have you trid Pegasus? Not sure if it supports widescreen resolutions for Vicky, but there goes a link: http://www.ederon.net/Default.aspx (Go in Victoria > Programs > Pegasus Hexa Wizard)
