Hello,

I play a Macedonian game, and my current ruler is a bit of a wimp, with a finesse of 1 and martial and charisma of 4. His preffered heir is his 3 year old son. The ruler's brother however is a smart guy with charisma and finesse at 8. My question is: Is there a way i can influence events that way so this brother will end up being the ruler? I have a theocracy as governement form and as far as i am aware i can't change it at tis moment.

About the only thing I can think of is to try and lower his loyalty through botched smear attempts or appointment dismissals. Then he will either attempt to kill the heir apparent to put himself forward or perhaps attempt a civil war.

If he starts a civil war and wins, isnt my game over then?

I can't say for sure as I've never been on the losing side of one, but I think you continue just as the victorious side. You could always set your game to autosave monthly and switch to the rebels though.

AFAIK if you lose, you lose, however, I often just save/reload as the side I actually support, which is usually the rebels.

Well when you get taken over by barbs, life goes on, it might be that way for civil wars too.
