Although I am not fan of DLC whoring some new additions to HOI4 will be really great. I mean I have bought the Deluxe version of this game and so far I have only recevied one proper DLC and some soundtracks (which I am not intresed) anyway is there any planned DLC coming ?

Eu4 and CK2 still receving good content but HOI4 is your flagship so it will be really good to have some...

As far as I know, the next DLC is planned to accompany the Oak patch (v1.4). It's supposed to have an Axis focus and rumor has it - it may include a revamped air system.

Technically the DLC wasn't a proper one, so it won't count to the 2 free DLC packs, so we got it as an extra free one. But I doubt the next DLC will be for another 4 months at the earliest.

I have no idea what their development cycle is, but they are releasing two DLC for two of their games in 2 days. We received our last patch in Feb. Devs have been silent for a month. I peg it at late May or June 6.

@rust95 Asia is after this Axis patch IIRC

Hearts of Iron is definitely NOT the flagship series. Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings both have more players than hearts of iron. Also both have sold a lot more copies. Ck2 might not have as many players online at a time right now though because its a 5 year old game.

HoI has actually sold more than any other of their core series in each 'generation' - so there is an argument to say it's their flagship, although I don't think PDS really think that way (I think they think it's an important franchise though).

On topic, IIRC there was talk of Oak and accompanying DLC coming out around June-way. That'd give us 2 months or so of DDs. They have four weeks or so off in July I think, so I'd bet they're aiming at having it out then, then the next DLC towards the end of the year, but that's all speculation :).

Why 4 months?

I was thinking it would be around that long seeing they normally have a few months of DDS after the official announcement of the expansion, plus the fact that the whole of Paradox has a month off work in July, so I am guessing it may not be until they get back in August.
It could be end of June, but then any issues would not be fixed until probably the end of August, and you how people like complaining about they aren't going to play until there is a hot fix.

I would definitely be for a revamped air combat/management system. But if the change is as shallow as the "Blitzkrieg" battleplan (meaning a spearhead functionality for the same battleplan system that should have been available on day1), it would be an instant avoid. Many things were discussed, including a revamped supply systems, but nothing was promised and they said with some changes they want to take their time, which is not at all a bad thing imo.

Actually CK2 has less players than HOI4 right now. If they want to milk the cow, they should better start soon.
Anyway what's more important than pushing out DLCs is pushing out the AI for the game. Or the AI Developer from the company

.

By that you mean HoI 1 sold more copies than ck1 and eu1, and hoi2 sold more copies than ck2 and eu2? I think that's what i gathered.

Anyway, it's kind of unfair though since CK only has 2 games and the other 2 franchises are on #4!

Looking at it this way, it seems logical that we will either get Victoria 3 or CK3 next. Hopefully one of those! I honestly would prefer victoria 3, since ck2 is a perfect game right now in my eyes and i dont want to rebuy all of the cultures and religions as DLC, AGAIN.

Victoria 2 though feels like it could use an update, it's really showing its age.

Aye, that's the one - not suggesting the analysis was fair (and after CK2's performance, I wouldn't have any concerns about it getting proper sequel treatment when the time is right :)), just where someone might have got the impression from. I'm also hoping for Vicky 3 - the time period was so 'in flux' socially, politically and technologically that the gameplay potential is through the roof, depending what they want to do with it.

That said, and on topic, I've got my fingers crossed for two DLC packs this year, although only as long as it doesn't cause the devs to miss dinner or weekends :).
