Right now we have three different skirmish-type maps in the game that can be played to "warm up" or if you just want to blast away without any story. Each map has a different mode to it, what we refer to as "challenges", ranging from more strategic capture-space type gameplay to more of an open battle.

I understand that you want to make this game have a great story and interesting environments. I love it when developers take the time to come up with a engaging story campaign and beautiful scenery but that's not all a game is supposed to be made over. I don't want to be stuck playing the same skirmish missions against a computer who I already know how to beat on the hardest settings. At least with multiplayer against a Human I get more of a challenge and more re-playability because not every game is going to be the same. So unless you have some GLADOS level AI in this game, I don't see myself wanting to purchase it.

Games mean different and unique things to us all and we all want to get different things out of them. We wanted Ancient Space to be a meticulously crafted and immersive, story-based single player experience with high production values, because there honestly aren't many current space-based games strategy games that can offer that.
