Hi,

someone on reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Steel_Division/comments/6jzza4/online_deck_builder/?st=j4i8i908&sh=57921e00 ) mentioned that it would be nice to have an official online deckbuilder, so you can create divisions while you are not at home.

In my opinion the ingame deckbuilder is also lacking a bit of features like sum up the costs in each phase+total and for each type of unit tab.
I made a small calc table with automatic inserting of the unit values to get a better overview about such stuff to save time and get a better result.

Here are some screenshots. It´s not complete finished yet.

Are there any plans for an online deckbuilder yet? In case of not, is someone from the community able to make something like that and willing to invest the time?
If also not I could check the possibilities to get my finished table online or at least making a portable/mobile version working, so it would be useable with an usb stick and without installing Openoffice Calc on the pc.

And thanks for the good work, I enjoy the game a lot.

I think these are all great ideas and would be extremely helpful to the community! Adding my point totals together has been something I've had to do personally for determining what I should be spending my points on in each phase or pushing. Hope you can get some traction on these ideas!

I've managed to reproduce some components of the deck-building interface using assets from the game:

Making an online deckbuilder seems like a cool idea, I'll see what I can do

I've wrote a basic web deck builder application for RD for personal use on js. I thought about adopting it for SD, but nowadays I lack motivation because game feels quite barren last weeks.

We had a plans of creating an interactive game for Steel Division, like a campaign with the hexagon map and divisions that players can move across the map and fight the battles, each sector would award points per turn, points would've been distributed across the team and people could replenish their decks based on these points. A lot of the code is actually already in place, but some basic features were really needed from the game.
Namely this https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/replay-information.1018085/ feature is crucial because otherwise we wouldn't be able to tell what damage the army suffered in combat and whole points system wouldn't matter at all.
But apparently Eugen can't spare a community management to talk with their userbase on forums (those vacations aren't going to enjoy themselves) so my trivial request went probably unnoticed and so I shelved the project.

So many lost opportunities here... the community would be eager to build on top of this game but it seems Eugen isn't really grasping this.
Your idea, plus tools to create custom campaigns would extend the life of this game so much.

Continuing on the idea of a deck builder, here is the current version of what I'm working on. It should contain all divisions and units, but no weapons yet.
Import/Export with the game deck codes is also in the list of features to be implemented.
