It's funny, since the email didn't actually mention the key. So I wonder if we will get another email, or if it just populates later?

If your key has processed and been added to your account you'll get an email specifying so. I got two emails, one specifically regarding the key.

Just in time, my F5 key had already taken structural damage from the overheat, and they key flew in.

Activation with steam was a breeze...... now the entry is sitting in my library taunting me.

If you have gotten an email than the key should be posting soon. They are sending over 50,000 keys out right now, so some delay in processing isn't unusual. Make certain that you are logging in to the correct account.

Regardless of when the key becomes available, the game itself will not unlock until April 24th at 9am PDT. If you get your key before then, you'll be able to download and install the game before hand, but you won't be able to play until 9am PDT, April 24th.

The Beta could be played offline without steam just find the executable and make a shortcut.

I didn't get an E-mail noting that my key was in Backerkit. I got an E-mail noting the PDX forum code, the PDX store code and then Catastrophe Unlimited, but the Steam key showed up without any E-mail prompt.

Could be, but the text didn't match what was added to Backerkit and the timing was off by about 2 hours.

It's not a big deal, I'm just noting my experience for anyone waiting on a Steam key and wondering.

I didn't even see the email...I just saw it mentioned that keys were starting to be distributed and checked backerkit only to see my Steam key sitting there, begging for me to redeem it in Steam. So I caved in and did what it wanted. Now 'BATTLETECH' taunts me from my Steam library....
