as far as i understood 1.05 was more pain than pleasure. In Russian community people preferred to play good old Arma 1.3...

Connection problem can be router/firewall problem or lack of external IP.

We did a game ranger game over about 12 hours on 1.06 with no problem. I will say we used the 1.05b3 .exe. This combo is now basically what 1.07 is...so I would assume 1.07 is MP compatible too.
My friend and I play 1.06 over Hamachi. It works.
Though we can't update to 1.07, because of Steam. Any news when 1.07 will be released as a Steam update?
Even 1.06 isn't noted in the news, 1.05 is. It just "ghost" updated to 1.06 without any noted nor lists.

Because they prog. these patches and "deliver" them to Steam I guess? They have more infos than I have. 
They deliver to paradox I think(that's what happened with the game itself in any case), and then paradox handles the business with the distributors. The editor is paradox, not BL.
