So you want them to literally stop doing dlc which adds content? You do realize they would make no money right?

No, and yes. Keeping working on new stuff without being paid for it, and go out of business because employees can't be paid in "good feelings".

It's only ever creative work that this sort of thinking applies to. No one takes their car to the dealership and demands free upgrades because this year's model has updates and improvements, the logic being "I paid for this car! Now it is incomplete because you have improved the new model! I am demand free upgrades!".

I'm agreeing with you. No, they do not want PDS to stop working on new stuff. They want PDS to continue to work on new content without charging for it. Yes, they do realize PDS would make no money if they did this. Somehow, this creates no cognitive dissonance, because they can vaguely decide that PDS has "enough money already", or that you can get by on "customer good will" or something like that.

I have spoken to the gods, they have confirmed release Q3 2017.
I would be fine with an announcement saying within the next ten years they will start development :(

I have just seen in the the EU 4 Dev MP thread that King will be hosting with Johan. Am i right in thinking it was King who did the economy for V1 and V2, and that he left to pursue a different project a few years ago?

If my memory is correct and the above is true V3 hopefully?

They already have tons of DLC, making one or two important ones free won't impact their profits, especially since they have numerous games under their belt. If anything, it will increase them, as it will make their players happier and more willing to contribute.I am not calling myself entitled, I am thinking about those that can't afford the money to keep up with the DLC. Sales help, but they are so sporadic that it is hard to save up cash in advance if you live somewhere where you don't save up as much money. The games might be affordable in Sweden or America, but it is not the case everywhere!

What would you say if your boss went and said " You already got payed last month, you can work for free this month" ?
If you cant afford the game, dont buy it. Thats basic economics, you probably wouldnt expect a grocery store to start handing out food to you for free just because "they got so much food, and it would make customers happier"

Do you have a source for this?

The local oracle has not divined anything as such in this neck of the woods.

Ok now you are using random examples that have no connection to this

I friggin hope so, I don't know anything about King, but I really like Vic2's economy, very organic and realistic for a computer game.
