I have no idea, sorry, I don't use mods - maybe try the User Mods forum on that? Same with the version search question. Is there an "empty" or "do nothing" mod I could test?
Launcher error logs are here:Where does the launcher put its error logs?
It's Fedora, which I understand is not fully supported. I have tried about 9 different mods now and any mod, even with just one enabled, causes a crash on launch. All mods work with the latest version when I play them on on my Windows machine. It has always been this way, and just saw this thread and noticed I wasn't alone. What distro?
Has it always happened, or used to be okay at some point?
Have you checked with the mod authors, maybe they have a problem on Linux only?
I appreciate you trying to help.Does that just happen with CK3? Your other games like CK2 and EU4 are okay with mods?
What launcher version do you see? Current is 2021.10
And at what point does this crash occur? While the launcher is starting or running, or while starting or running the game from it?
Yes I'm sure there is a way to move them over. That should not be necessary of course! I'm glad it worked out for you.
Saves in the Steam Cloud should still be available. Local save files might have to be moved, but I know nothing about how Proton handles user files.
