Any info on the new units in Wealth of Nations/1.6?

Paradox has mentioned that the pips for units have been changed/rebalanced. They also said that lower tech groups get higher level units.

Does anyone have any concrete details about these changes?

You are strange. Is it hard to point the minute if you know where it could be? Especially if the video is 2.5 hours.

I highly doubt that anybody remembers the exact minute where Paradox talked about unit pips.

Cav was rebalanced too, as example maximum lvl cav for west is now 27 ( or 28, i dont remember exact number ).

I've watched some of those videos, and this topic was about precise information - kudos RussianBias.
Sending a link to a 2 hour video is not precise information.

Plus, this way you're not helping only me if you have this information, but also other forumers. A link to a huge video is useless, a 10 line post with 8 lines of information is pure gold ;)

Western and eastern infantry unit pips:
lvl15 w:12/12 e:12/12

If I'm reading right what you're saying this means that there will be huge drops in power levels for everyone. Western infantry had something like 60 pips late game. Eastern had 51, Ottoman had 38 or so.
This is going to be much closer - you could have a Muslim country and with purely military ideas you would actually out-pip them.
Of course, this is provided that stuff like Chinese get a 16-17 something pip infantry late game and not a 9 pip one :)

Chinese gets a 30-some pip unit at tech 23, it's only after that where their units don't get better and they're stuck. Their cavalry at tech 16 is very impressive right now, but they're stuck at 50% supply with it and thus it has limited utility, though it's a nice lift temporarily.

The AI is actually bad enough to where you can beat it in SP for a long, long time without westernizing simply by avoiding ideas to stay relatively current.

This is going to be much closer - you could have a Muslim country and with purely military ideas you would actually out-pip them.

Yes, that is what I took from it. On paper it seems sensible to make minor military tech differences more competitive, and to make presented choices between units at every tech level mean something, rather than have a serious choice of one out of four options based on pip strength. It will make picking cavalry and artillery more competitive to the western infantry doom stacks that dominate the late game (assuming they also fix cavalry and artillery battle engagement).
