...meanwhile in 1948 I already have 200+ reloads caused by this problem!

Any idea what could cause this, as the majority here doesn't seem to have this problem.

Playing HOI4 with all DLC besides Bosporus.

Armor and some Radio-packs are installed.

Bug Description: Sound goes off, Mouse is still active, but you can't click anything or move the map.

This crash occurs permanent but at some times very frequently (every 2 minutes) and at some times you can even play for 1 or 2 hours without any problems.

I already reinstalled the game on steam and my hardware should be good enough.

Not without knowing more about your system. At a minimum a dxdiag report.

You should probably post this in the tech support forum, as that sounds more suitable for the problem as you describe it.

thanks for your answer.

If it would be hardware problem it wouldn't occure that way (at least from my understanding):
  • in one hour (like yesterday evening) HOI4 freezes all 2 to 5 minutes
  • right know HOI4 runs for 2 hours without any problems

You describe that the sound stops. I assumed here that you meant music play from the in-game music player. If that's indeed the case, then I'm inclined to think you do have a hardware issue somewhere, that conflicts with the game in some form. Even if the game had entered some never ending loop deep inside the game engine that updates the various objects in the game (divisions, battles, AI actions, spy operations, that sort of stuff) that would block the UI, then the music should still play normally, since that's on a separate thread.

all sounds - music and ingame sounds.

I have a suspicion that this might have something to do with Steam, as the problem tends to occur at weekends or later in the afternoon/evening on weekdays, when the Steam usage is probably at its highest.
