Hello everybody,
I have more times tried to play with balkan countries, but I mostly got annexed. For example if you play with serbia you have with hungary, the ottoman empire and later austria three neighbouring super powers as enemys at once. Plus the technology of the country is bad, too. Are there any hints how to play with serbia at least without dying during the game?

i think you must not attack bosnia or albania because they are ally with ottoman. and there is military access too. if you attack them immediately ottoman will attack you. first you must watch their rating with ottoman when relationships is low, you would attack. balance policy works very well. but there wasnt much options in balkans.

That's a good link TeeKee, but another good one is here (IMO). Sliver Legion's take on each country was very useful in making the pick of which nation to try.

Here's what she said about the Balkans--"Balkan States; Small and unpurified you are dead. The OE will sweep in and break down your nation. The idea is to very quickly create a union of states and hold fast. Once you have the Balkans if you can do that at all you will have one goal stay alive. Seems simple, but it is not you will have to counter numerous OE and Austrian attacks to preserve the fragile country you have made. Take Veneto if you can, but considering you can’t try to control trade in that area. Ignore the navy and focus upon the army as it is the only thing that can defend against hostile neighbors. I would suggest a fair to moderate amount of experience in Eu2 before playing."

Aaah, Sliver/Silver Legion, She-Who-Plays-Eu2, the one woman who could be a threat to an otherwise good relation... We could've had such good times together, playing Lan games till dawn, i'd even let her take France if i'd play Auvergne, but fortune decided not... :eek:o;)

But, eh, Wari, why be so submissive... You could play France instead... and let her play Auvergne... if you know what i mean...
