I like Turkey as a whole but the new focus tree seems too huge and complicated, I am having more headache than fun going though the tree. As It is very difficult to understand what each path is aiming for, what the requirement is and what certain focus tree/ decision actually does.

I can only agree!
It's too unclear on what you need to do and what is the pros and cons with the different factions is.
and that you only can get an extra research slot if you can join the right factions. and that you can't get 5 slots i just an unfair handicap!
I also think they need to rethink the amount of political power one need to spend, to get the country ready for the war. it's too extreme.
I also wondering if there is lots of bug in the focus tree. When i play thru it, its seems that some things doesn't happen. like Getting Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan as puppets.

Huh. I'm confused as to what there's to be confused about. It's crystal clear on absolutely everything, except one thing.

That one thing is the Ottoman path. It's easy enough to know that you have to take the democratic path and then let the conservatives win if you read the dev diaries, but this requires picking the right option in the events, so it is very possible to screw up if you don't know what you're supposed to do for the desired outcome ahead of time.

The research slot thing is indeed a frustration. Their lack of easy access to a fourth research slot, and the inability to get a fifth is kind of crippling unless you're going to hyper specialize in one particular thing while absolutely ignoring everything else. I'm hoping that this issue will be patched, but in the meantime I'm holding back on playing Turkey further.

I am also curious about the leader layout. One time I played etatist Turkey, I got Kazım Orbay instead of İnönü for example. The Ottoman event chain could also be cleared up.

Technically, they're supposed to be able to get a 5th slot, but the focus that gives them that slot will AUTOMATICALLY BYPASS WITHOUT GIVING THE SLOT if you do the prerequisite focus without being in the Central Powers with Germany or Austria-Hungary. It's an absolutely horrible design choice.

++++ I also got the same issue with puppeting Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan focus (it simply did not do anything).

I think paradox should tweak Turkish Focus tree which, in worst case, should shorten majority of focuses from 70 to 10 or 35 days. Tree is way too long.

This is enormously helpful, in fact I wish the devs would do something like this in-game. Not sure exactly how best to do it, but draw boxes around focii to categorise them, and then maybe even have a short description of each box.

The leader you get when Ataturk retires or dies in office depends on how far down you are in the focus tree. Orbay is kind of a fallback if you haven't gotten down to one of the key focuses which unlock the others.
