Any chance we will get more camera controls?

I've recently experimenting with playing in terrain mode and quite zoomed in. I just wish I could tilt the cam a little more towards the horizon, allowing me to play zoomed in and feel close to the units and provinces but still be able to see a few provinces away.

A freelook toggle could maybe be an idea?

I had really hoped this too - Sengoku, which allowed full camera control, really showed off the 3d map beautifully while also enabling play from whichever angle you wanted. I do think that Paradox are selling short the work they've done on the map in recent years by being so restrictive.

I do understand that some 'min spec' PCs might struggle but if its an option then the user gets to decide whether or not to enable.

I'd like camera controls like in GalCiv2 and Fallen Enchantress. It has a toggleable snapback too. FE has the sexiest camera ever in any strategy game.

I suggested exactly this, OP, at the 1.2 Twitch stream a month or whatever ago. Johan seemed a bit skeptical, but they said it *could* be packaged in future. We just need to make enough valid points and noise!

I for one would love it for the AAR-screenie opportunities.

They showed off a fully free-rotating and positionable camera in the Ask-anything stream. They didn't seem to want to make it public but I have been meaning to pester them to make it free for all to use to add an extra flair to AARs.
