Any chance of becoming Emperor?

Ok, I'm playing a custom starting (1250) with Konrad von Hohenstaufen, actually king of Sicily. So I wonder if joining the HRE I can become emperor with the new system of Holy Fury. I know only "de iure" vassals can be elected and Sicily is not "de iure" HRE territory... but as duke of Swabia as well... okay I'm confused.

I’m inclined to think that it may need to be your primary title, but that may not be the case. You don’t need the Elector titles to be your primary to be an elector IIRC.
