@Meesmoth You seem to be missing some context. I was talking to the dev who posted in this thread. Check the previous page and look for the highlighted post.
Hoping this time it wont be again the non sense of 5 DD rushed in the last decade before release. We definitely have plans for Dev Diaries when we're sharing new content and expansions. Aside from those, what kind of content would you like to hear about?

Maybe it's no the idea of a new DLC itself but just your ideas that people do not like.Giving suggestions for a next DLC gives you nothing but disagrees for unknown reasons. This just shows that CS players don't really want to see a next DLC anymore.
Try viewing the comments on the previous page, including mine. They all get disagrees, yet posts like "I wonder what they'll up to" gets agrees.
EDIT: Even this post is starting to get disagrees again. What does the CS players want to do with the game now? Giving suggestions for a DLC gives you disagrees, telling the truth about it gets disagrees. I feel like this is a mass-disagreement thing going on here. This game has only two major DLCs remaining before it gets dead from the developers, so if you don't want any DLC, then fine. I'm staying away from threads like this, I just want to feel my cities more alive, not ruin my reputation on a website. Why this rating system even exists on this site? People prefer the more-complicated Industries rather than simple ones such as random events, if you look at several forums many people are confused with Industries because it's too complex. Random events gives you only something exciting to see in your city, yet useless services such as post offices are in the game for no reason at all.
Exact dates please !I expect the next DLC to be released in May 2019 if we follow the order between Natural Disasters and Mass Transit. So of course any developer updates will not be released until either March or April like Mass Transit's development history.
EDIT: When the next DLC is announced to be released on the same month I told you, please remove the disagrees on this post.
Exact dates please !![]()
Indeed, my point was more about predictions being at best a wild guess. The past is not an absolute predictor of the future, but you can figure out timelines for previous DLC here:
https://skylines.paradoxwikis.com/Developer_diaries
Industries was a bit on the short side. Announced on 11 October 2018, released on 23 October 2018.
I would be down for medium density buildings (like for residential more spread out apartment complexes instead of high-rises, US is where I get that from I guess) - always feels weird jumping from Low to High density. Perhaps I played SC4 too much when I was younger!Medium density buildings?
Overground-underground metros?
Variable geometry/filling area parks ? (I know the asset creator can somewhat solve that).
I posted this on Steam regarding the next DLC release by viewing the past history of DLCs:Me still waiting for a dev diary

On the flipside, the time between Industries's announcement and release was only twelve days, the shortest ever for C:S.Turn around of announcement to release is crazy short.
EU4 have started talking about their expansion with dev diaries a YEAR in advance
I think the short time gap between announce and release is because Paradox PR thinks that if they announce it too early, the hype will decrease before the release=less sales.
Firaxis does the same with all of their games and dlcs.
I don't know if it is the best strategy tho. Dev diaries with future planning without spoilering the next Dlcs would be a nice middleground to keep people involved in those gaps.
Every PDX:I title has very long gaps between release and announce, think imperator; over a year. Even new DLC can be months (Man the Guns).
Events
Watch more exciting and unexpected random events in your city. Set up and plan your city's parade around the streets. Manage traffic control with Road Services Depot to decrease traffic accidents that slows down your city's traffic. Watch as riots or criminals cause blocked traffic or decreased happiness. Set up your custom events to attract more tourists to your city.
It's the opposite for Cities Skylines tho. Maybe they are different PR divisions that act in a different and indipendent way.
I don't need a dev diary, C:O have already said that basically PDX don't allow them to do dev diaries like PDX:I do and that if they did, it would take up too much time.
Thats obviously not what i'm talking about
Thread title:
Okay, what are you talking about though? 'cause last time I checked there was only one type of developer diary and that is the one that CO did for every DLC of C:S. Exactly like PDX:I do it.
