Antioch pentarch mix-up

Weird things happened to me in after the Patch. The holding of Antioch was a castle pre-patch but is a temple post-patch (switched with Saint Simyeon), and only in the latter case can the bishop there become a pentarch. This kind-of bums me out of mending the Schism, unless I can find a way of altering my save-game. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm not sure I follow you here, are you saying that you can't mend the schism because of this?

Yeah, that's it. B_antiocheia is a castle in most of my pre-1.07 savegames, where it should be a temple.

I'll start a new game then; I tried mending it but that only made the game crash to desktop whenever I tried to load the save game. Ah well, these things happen.

It is not absolutely necessary to start a new game to fix this. Follow these 5 steps, you will get your Patriarh in Antioch:

1) Open the .ck2 savegame file in an advanced text editor like notepad++
2) Replace all instances of b_antiocheia with b_antiocheia_1
3) Replace all b_stsymeon with b_stsymeon_1
4) Replace b_antiocheia_1 with b_stsymeon and
5) Replace b_stsymeon_1 with b_antiocheia.

I am attempting to find the save-file in CKII so as to fix the Antioch mix-up (I conquered Antioch as a Miaphysite nation, and there is also no Pentarch spot available). However, I cannot find the save files. There is no folder for CKII, only for Steam, and the Steam folder has no spots for a save game file.

Your savegames are in \My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\save games, not in the Steam folder.
