Anti-Pope

Asked this in the quick questions but didn't get any response.

Anyone know how to get rid of an anti-pope? I created one & expected him not to be replaced when he eventually died but his successor has died and been replaced as anti-pope too (actually on to 5th or 6th successor at time of writing). I expected the position of anti-pope only to exist until the death of the person declared as anti-pope, not be inherited by the bishop who succeeds him.

The title of antipope will pass on and you can only remove your antipope by pushing his claim on papacy.

Damn was hoping there was something other than having to press his claim on the papacy (and remember to assassinate the current pope once he's been installed).

Did you try to banish him ? I doubt an anti-pope can be title..less.

I have a "normal" pope in my ERE game that was title-less after I conquered all of his holdings. By now the new pope has some sort of holding IIRC, I guess he was elected and kept his previous bishopric. But I don't know about anti-popes ...
