And then: what is the point? nothing will be changed anymore on eu1 so why discussing it? It was a good game but then came eu2 and it is currently collecting dust somewhere on an unfindable spot on the floor of the attic...
Very sad.
Kasperus: why don't you put your old EU1 out on eBay or similar. I found my EU1 copy second hand last year. But I don't think I would have bothered buying a full price EU2, I would probably have bought Shogun or MTW or similar. And never known the EU experience.
uhm, it cost money to sell something on ebay and what would I want to ask for it? The postal costs would be higher than the actual bids I guess
Anyway, I have also 2 copies of eu2 so one of them is always collecting dust as well But would someone want to buy the polish version which gets patched 2 months after the american?

My only problem with is that it isn't as good as EU2 is now, becuase then EU2 would be the perfect game.
By no means is EU2 better than EU, they are just different in certain areas of the game and even though they are similar, it's almost unfair to judge. (That's my opinion anyway)
Probably a useless thread indeed, but as EU2 seems to be nowhere in the shops in the netherlands, here it is:
Graphical : simple
Sound : two of the four music tracks are rubbish
Stability : It crashes regularly even with patch 1.10
History: Half the provinces of my country are a-historical.

also, IMHO 1492 scenario does a poor job of modelling the hapsburg inheritance. 1520 start has better historicity.

My big poblem with EU1 is its missing religions like Hinduism and Buddhism. And they could have put a few more Asian countries and Native American countries.

I would say that he means that. 1520 isn't a scenario, only an option in the IGC.
