I don't follow other games before release... Does Vicky 2 have good amount of interest from game journalists when compared to other games? I guess you can't measure with giants, but what about similary oriented games, similar companies ot maybe even better your own HoI3 or EU3?

I like Johan's accent, it's unique. I've never heard that kind of accent before, but obviously I know it's a Swedish accent.
Anyways, sorry for being OT.

Obviously they would need an incentive to accept reforms they ideologically disagree with, for instance the fear of revolution. As I understood the interview, that's how it's going to work.

As far as comparing this game to others of similar nature... I don't think there is any real comparison whatsoever unless one wanted to claim the Total War series... which, has been stated before, simply could not hold a candle to the strategic overland developments to Victoria.
But that's not entirely a fair comparison either, while both games cover the same era, or thereabouts. One is more focused on the progress of a nation while another the battles--I'll leave it to the reader to decide which is which. ;p

We also need to consider that Johan probably isn't used to speaking for the cameras, and in the pressure to introduce the games, he can make some minor mistakes.

Bah! Tutorials are overrated.However, we can all agree that a nonexistent tutorial is bad.
I remember my first attempt at playing Vicky. I build a huge army as Denmark and crushed Sweden... then my economy collapsed.
It was bloody frustrating getting an economy to run in the beginning, and I actually put away Vicky thinking it was the worst Paradox game made. At some point I did give it a second try, and I was simply amazed with the depth of the game. Once you got past the learning curve or should I say learning wall it was a great game. Actually one of the best if not the best ever made.
In a lot of ways Victoria have a learning curve resembling the one from Eve Online:
So a good tutorial would help new players a lot.
Johan has an interesting accent and it seems the English got out from under him in the interview.:rofl: Still, game looks like a must-buy, and if it takes me less than two years to master it (about as long as it took me to finally surmount the learning curve on Vicky 1!), so much the better!
Vicky 2 has no learning curve, it doesn't get harder during the game. It just starts really high on the graph and stays there.
