please also understand that there was not 1, but 2 database mismatch errors. error #1 was for event 6000006, and error #2 was for 6000000.
error number 1 happened when I tried to put 6000006 into hoi2.txt, error number 2 happened when I tried to add event 6000000 to the file.
Since at that time I had also at the same time posted the other five events in the same file, had error #2 been resolved I would have had more errors because I had events 6000000-6 all within hoi2.txt at the same time as I had them in my_event.txt.
I resolved this by deleting them from hoi2, but keeping them in my_event.txt.
The problem, originally, was that when I wrote the first post, I was trying to make event 6000000 work in the game I already had going as australia. It did not work. I then started a new game as australia, and then it worked.
The events still work. The only events which do not work are the newer ones I try to add.
From now on, I will locate these newer events in a new folder I shall create. From there I will copy the events into the game event files. Then I will delete the original file to whence I will have originally saved the events.
Hopefully, everything will work. thankyou for all your patience.
