I'm opening a lot of threads here
What an annoyance. England vassalized Corsica. They don't own land elsewhere, but england vassalized them anyway. It wasn't in a war either. Those same 37k have been there during the country's entire existence, no activity after recruiting them...

There has to be a way to elliminate the border restriction for allying and vassalage for the player, as it seems that AI to AI diplomacy is not affected by it. It's a real pain. Does anybody know anything?

Why so? It IS a modding question is it not? I'm trying to figure out how to mod this into the game, as I've heard it's impossible.

In the EU2.exe file. And the player can ally and vassalize non-bordering nations, but he cannot diplomatically annex non-bordering vassals... so England didn't do anything the player can't do already. (I think...but I'm pretty sure this is accurate )

And while I'm pretty sure this isn't the case, perhaps England has an event making Corsica her vassal. If you have your message settings set so that you can see other nation's events in your history file, this is easy enough to check.

Don't think England has a vassal event. Spain, France, England and Savoy can all get the Sale of Corsica event though.

The AI does not need a border, else we wouldn't be seeing Friesen and Chagatai in the same alliance :rofl: with Songhai and Zapotec (never seen something quite as extreme but it is theoretically possible). It's just another AI cheat, and now I learn it's locked somewhere within the exe. Maybe I should take up rogue chemistry and blow my arms off
