In the manual it says that when i right-click on a province and assign a mission to aircraft, on their first run they will fulfill their mission in THAT province, contrary to the ctrl+right-click or the order box approach, where the lowest threat province is selected. Problem is, they will target the lowest threat province anyway, no mater how I issue the order, and it can be frustrating since I can't soften up enemy forces in provinces I wish. Is my mouse faulty or is the manual lying?

In this case, it is wrong. Your planes; however, will support you ground attack on a province in that region if you start the ground attack first (before the plane leaves the airfield)...one of the only ways that I know off to direct planes to a province you want.

If you like to really micro-manage, see when the planes leave the airfield for their usual attack in that region (it can be several hours before dawn if they are set to attack during the day). Use one unit to attack that province an hour before the planes usually leaves. As soon as the planes are in the air, abort the land attack. The planes will now fly to that province that you were attacking and bomb it. You may have to do this up to 2 times a day.
