I started a new game choosing the Count of Desmond. I have 2 questions.

1) As you can see from the screenshot on the left above, it says the starting Levy for my vassal, the Mayor of Cork is 107.
Why does this not start with the Base levy, which I believe from the Wiki should be 115 for cities? As you can see, there are no buildings
constructed and no negative modifiers to levies that I can see. I used this as an example but it seems whoever I choose to play, the numbers never match the base numbers.

2) From the screenshot on the right, it says "the Mayor could provide at most 56 troops". Why is this not 107, the levy listed for the Mayor in the screenshot on the left? This also is a number which never seems to match no matter who I choose to play.
I do understand how I am able to raise 26.5%, or 15 troops.

At this point this is the only thing I dont understand about the game. You people can make
my life complete if you have an explanation. I must be missing something.
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure on 1). Are some of his levies dead, perhaps?

As for 2) this is because of your vassal's opinion of you, your levy laws, and your authority-- (more accurately, as an independent ruler who is not a monarch you have no crown authority). Generally the rulers of cities do not need to provide much of a levy, instead they provide you with taxes. Once you have feudal vassals (barons under a count, counts under you as a duke, etc.), they will be forced to provide a larger percent of their levies to you even if they dislike you, but will provide you with little to no taxes at all.

Iron Chariots, thanks for the response. As far as your answer to Question number 2, can anyone show me the math on how the number 56 is derived
as opposed the total levy available of 107?

The new levy formula sets base to only 50% (half) of your vassals total troops. Thats all.
