Hey guys and girls,

Just won the first Crusade for The Kingdom of Andalusia, and was wondering what would you guys do with the all the lands of Kingdom of Andalusia? I was thinking that I would land four of my unlanded sons and give them each a Duchies, then let my 2nd born get the Kingdom title as im not yet at a Empire title, and handling that many vassals will certainly lead to my doom.

Or should I land my four younger sons and give the "K" title to my eldest son and heir Prince Adam of Swabia, that way when Matthias II dies it'll come back to me. Truth be told, I really don't wanna have two Kingdoms that far from each others, with one of them bordering a very aggressive neighbor in the Umyyads.

Oh also im on Agnatic-Primo, and I wanna know WHAT WOULD YOU DO??? lol

Thanks in advance :)

IMHO, you should never land your sons. Once your current ruler is dead it will be quite likely that they will start conspiracies to take the crown. Making them landed would give them too much power.

I would give the counties in the Kingdom of Andalusia to courtiers in your realm who do not belong to any great family and are unmarried. They should have both your religion and culture. They should be loyal towards you and if they have the content trait then even better. I would give these guys one county each (I like dukes but I generally want to keep them as weak as possible.) and give the duchies to the people who own capital counties. You should allow Andalusia recover manpower now. If you don´t want to keep that kingdom then give it to one of the dukes in there.

I'd land my sons in some insignificant counties, then give them a lowborn content duke, so they stay away from me or my chosen son.

True, but I think im leaning more on the 'Give up the Kingdom(Andalusia)" Way, so if I land them and give my 2nd born the "K" title it really won't matter if he tries to take Germany from my heir once im gone, as he far south with new holdings and neighboring the Umyyads( Who by the way, can still call upon a 5k army ). I guess my thing is I really don't wanna have to march my armies south every time there some rebellion or uprising, as I have trouble right now dealing with viking raiders who keep raiding my personal demense( I own just about all of Northern Germany for myself ), Italy owns one more province in the Duchy of Swabia that I have to win back for my heir and all of Bavarias Duchy of Tyrol( I thinks its spelled like that? ), also im just waiting for my cousins mother to die, so my cousin( Who is my vassal, and Duke of Bavaria ) gets a strong claim on the 3 county Duchy in the Kingdom of Bavaria and I have that under my belt.

I guess what it is, is that I feel like if I keep that Kingdom it just going to add more on to my plate and most of my ambition is in western europe, with forming the HRE being at the top.

I always land all my sons. From a RP perspective this makes a lot of sense: imagine you are a ruler over an empire. You would likely want to give all of your sons some land.

I always give my land from the Crusades to the Pope. He appreciates it. It's good if you want to wring some cash out of him, and if you're zealous it's good from an RP perspective. 'I will not wear a crown of gold where Christ wore his crown of thorns'.

Interesting, but my guy and his heir are cynical :p Plus the current Pope has the greedy trait, he wont even accept nominations for bishops from me lool

I would go ahead and give Andalusia to your second son. Since both the Ummayads and his own vassals will keep him busy, I wouldn't worry about your second son getting ideas about trying to screw his older brother out of Swabia.

What about my other sons? I was thinking I'd give them lands in Andy to.

Tho I really don't wanna have too big of a dynasty. What do you think?

First make your younger sons either counts or dukes in Andalusia and then give the k_andalusia title to your second son.

I plan to give one of my other sons who 15 a duchy and the younger ones counts under him, but before that, gonna make betrothal for them to dukes and counts daughters. That way if they have any ideas about Germany they wont have any strong backers. This sound good?
