I went with Anti-Comintern Pact and waited until july 1938. Austria never got that coup event so I edited it to fire in 1938. But the decision is allways grayed out, even after I demand territory or ally Austria. What exactly do I have to do after Anti-Comintern Pact to make Anschluss. And yes I have read the FAQ

Edit: I'm getting slow in my old age.

Can't do Anschluss if Italy guarantees Austria for any reason.

If they don't get the Stresa Front event, that GoI is good 'till March 1939 (I think, since it starts in march '34) for the 1936 scenario or a similar but variable date for '33 (if they get it at all).

I think you need a non-aggression pact between GER and AUS for the coup event to fire.
Anyway, you can place your mouse over the red X and a tooltip will show which conditions of the decision are not met.

I have a non aggression pact with Austria.

RiseOrDie, I'm using the same patch as you are.

Just tried it for the 5th time and figured out what the problem was. Rotten Venetic was right. Italy has to sign the Pact of steel and trigger the Austrian coup event. But why is this happening in late June ?

Rotten Venetic is right, you must have signed the Stressa Pact. You must also have signed the Anti-Comutern Pact and have Ribbentrop as you foreign minister. He doesn't become available until the beginning of 1937. After that (assuming your relations with Italy are 50+) it becomes a waiting game. The event firing is extremely variable. I've had it fire as early August or September (after the Stressa Pact fires). Other times it doesn't come until 1938. I had one game where the Stressa Pact did not fire until 1-1-1939. The Anchluss then fired the next day 1-2-1939. Typically it fires late 1937 or early 1938. Makes it more interesting depending on how critical Austrian IC is to your war program.

I haven't played with the new beta 2 much, but with prior versions it was no problem at all. 1937 activates the decision, january 1938 austria gets the coup, territorial claims = 60% chance, 1 or 2 tries, annexed, anschlussed! First treaty of munich in mid 38, end of czechoslovakia at the beginning of 39.

I'm usually already partially mobilized by then, as I use the -10 dissent from the czechoslovakia event to reduce the net dissent gain to 2, which is easily manageable. As General Mobilisation always costs you 5 dissent, i only use it if i have to, which is usually when fighting the soviets. I use the winter months to do that, as I do not attack in winter.

Ditto here, but I part-mob for Poland usually since I stretch my available IC too much with production and upgrades. Gotta work on my builds, they're just terrible :)

I usually wait until I'm fighting in France to do a partial mob. It depends on how much I'm building and the upgrading of units is using IC. I like to wait because I'm at war, no dissent. Also by waiting I avoid the IC penalty when the men are "pulled off the assembly line" and put into the army. Note: I could never get any coup % above 0 without using Ribbentrop and it's only a 1% dissent hit and that is easily erased.

Is it possible to ally Poland and invade France with their help?
It seems like I just cant get Poland to accept a military alliance...
