I am happy to pay, I like the rational and think you all are doing a great job.

Bro I'm not going to pay 5 bucks to have the chance of seeing my cat getting yeeted away by a catapult, I don't want to feel bad playing.
Honestly, I am more hyped for this than I was for Royal Court.
I feel like these packs (be it culture packs or event packs) should be where the future of CK3 is. Quick bursts of awesomeness.
You shouldn't be paying accept a DLC just because they're addressing the broken AI in the free patch. That's like accepting a DLC because they're fixing bugs. The broken parts of their game should be fixed for free and there shouldn't be any expectation of paying them for this aside from what you've already paid.I've been critical of this DLC, but we *are* getting a warfare rework (at least, of the AI) in the free patch, and I am very excited about that. That shouldn't be lost in all this.
That said, I would really like to hear about what's coming next for CK3 (and when it's coming!), and I will be sorely disappointed if the future looks like more event packs and not expansions/flavor packs for low-content areas.
Then don't buy it? I also feel that I can find decent mods that add events on par with the DLC. But somehow I never tried such things. Maybe mod users can chime in and tell me how decent event mods can be in general. The annoying bit for me is actually the fact that it's 5 bucks cheap. I thought it would be around 15 or something and I was not going to buy it until a sale or whatever. I really don't know whether to get it or not now. Freaking Paradox, man.Bro I'm not going to pay 5 bucks to have the chance of seeing my cat getting yeeted away by a catapult, I don't want to feel bad playing.

Ypu can't expect that to be normal practice of every customer. It's not a responsibility of a consumer to be a modder of there are things added that isn't to their liking. You can mod that silliness that goes contrary to the suspension of disbelief out, that's what I will do immediately after getting the DLC. Hopefully most other events doesn't reveal such poor, infantile and silly ideas....
An event pack must not be bad I like it actually, but thats something people have to decide for themself.I don't belive "it were flipped". FPs also had patches, but content/price ratio was better (FP+patch). It's just content/price ratio changing for worse. We will just get less (EP+patch) for almost the same price. FP price increase also isn't a "flipp". Just price raise. I see this as trend.
I'm afraid we'll get even less content for more money in the future. I don't want to support it. That's what I mean.
Pay 5 bucks and then start modding out the content you paid for...?You can mod that silliness that goes contrary to the suspension of disbelief out, that's what I will do immediately after getting the DLC. Hopefully most other events doesn't reveal such poor, infantile and silly ideas....
At least a part of that happening is called inflation. You get less and less for your money, so you would need to stop supporting the world, if you think your general statement to the end... And the strange thing is: As long as it is not going out of control, it less than an evil than its opposite (deflation). I concede that the overall price raise of the DLC is steep and the retroactive thing is another questionable move, but some price climbing over time itself isn't.I'm afraid we'll get even less content for more money in the future. I don't want to support it. That's what I mean.
Stellaris DLCs are mostly "extra content" layered on top of new mechanics from the accompanying free update. If this DLC sells well then why would they bother to make bigger DLC if you can just sell multiple event DLCS that will take 10x less effort?
