Oh, you got Icy hell? I never played it, but it looks nice plain' the winter war. Is it 1st person or you are the unit's comandant, like Company of Heroes? I heard bad things about this game, like wrong dates and a lot of annother things that always try to take the fun of the game out.
The tech trees are amazing, and it's enouth for naval tech tree. There are tech 'till '82, that's 20 years of naval programs. Oh, and about that stuff of airships: can't we move normal infantry troops by them, can we?

Well, it has it's downsides, but as a game made by small team of russian and finnish amateur modders, it is understandable that it contains errors. It's unsuitable for education due to errors but as a war strategy game it's pretty nice.

For airships, no, we can't which is indeed sad. HoI2 does not allow aerial transportation of units, a fact that has been complained about as long as I can remember. Only paratroops can travel via air, and even then the only possible way to come out of the aircraft is to do paradrop operation.

Hell yes! That is sweeter than sweet! :D

Thanks :D I shall proceed on next tree, probably Infantry.

Yep. That's why this game haven't come to brazil. We don't make many games here. About airtransport...shit. I hope they change this in HoI3.

I never liked paratroops, I use them to chase enemies into 0% provinces and hold them while I take out the worthwhile provs. :)

Just say what needs Lord Finnish to be done and I'll help also.

Hey, id just wanted to say, that if you need help with events, im all for.

After the tech tree is done, which will take week or two, we can start working on events and scenario files. Then you shall begin working :)

I never liked paratroops, I use them to chase enemies into 0% provinces and hold them while I take out the worthwhile provs. :)

Just say what needs Lord Finnish to be done and I'll help also.

All help is appreciated, as said above :)

Finn man, sounds like your mod is gettin' famous.:D

Yeh, for first time in my life I can say I have created something unique :D

Yea 20 years of naval development is good enough.

Good thing cos it will be awesome to play.

It will be awesome

Hmm....I know it's late to suggest but I feel after losing sizeable chunks of the popoulus provinces (at least in vanilla) to the EU/Fomer Russia that Scandinavia might re-unite to expunge the invaders. Since Finland is the only country out the three that appears to balanced out the loss of the East with the gain of Estonia/Leningrad it would inherit the other two countries and use the already determined Police state mentality to seek revenge against the invaders. (And maybe everyone else also. :D)

Religion and ideology: Humankind is more individualistic than ever, and religions barely exist anymore. Due to UW (United
World, successor of UN) declaration in 2089 every human has to create his or her own ideology.

Looking back on some things, the whole world would never be fully individualistic and barely without religion.

Yep. It's an amazing mod!:D

Oh, I agree with you JHINDO. We can't forget 2 basic things: we are humans (I guess so:D); The most of us NEED religions to don't end with our lives, so forgettin' about religionalism is... bullshit. The second one is that in all times there were nations with the same ideologies, so than the alliences appear. Without this, anyone will like anyone. And this will end with the 3 great alliances idea.

And about that league of united world... I could make their flag, if you wanna...

In my opinion, it would look like this:

Religions haven't disappeared, they are just less important in world politics. Also, although ideology policy is much more liberal now, there are still ideologies around, such like communism is still on the field.

Interesting. But guy, you can't forget a thing: there are a lot of crazy nationalist in whole history that put God in their head of government, such as Iran, medieval europe, imperial Japan and even the old Egypt. So I think there shoud still be one or two nations that are religious extremists. And a coup here and there could be interesting, so we will have the old ideologies, such as monarchism, nationalism, fascism and even communism.

Nationalism isn't an ideology, it's the belief that your country is the good guy in Geo-political situations.

Monarchism in HOI doesn't appear beyond some Heads of Gov. having 'King/Queen' in his/her name. So the best we could do is just copy Paradox on that subject.

Sam, you should not judge people as necessarily crazy if their higher or highest authority is claimed to be appointed by a Deity or Deities.

However most people that have such claims today are crazy. :p

Well, what's better: trust in God and have him in your side or just forget him? All right, there are really a lot of good people and stadists in this world who belive in God, and so do I (I'm lutheran or protestant, if you prefer) but here and there in history there were a lot of crazy people who put their falls in God's guilty or who belive that if they are with God, they'll not lose, just like Filipe II from Spain (and former of Iberian Kingdom with a coup at Portugal). Butyep, you're right.Try to go to Iran and say "Mahmud Abbas is crazy!" and you will dissapear as fast as a rocket, or maybe even faster:D So I guess it would be interestin' a coup here and there, but well, if you just wanna democracies at the future, so go on. But well, people are ease manipulated. If a guy speaks in a good way sain' wonderful things of your future coutry, and proposin' changes that people want, and people still wanna him at the power, so that would becoume a monarchy or a... I was almost sayin' nationalist, but extremist sounds better, don't you think?

I don't want this to get into a debate so I will no longer answer anything on this tract of thought as this is a Mod. If you wish to continue to talk about this Sam, feel free to PM me.

A Extremist is someone who stays in power for a prolonged time with the support of the people?

No, a Extremist is someone who has a tendency to view all opponents and critics as evil. A Extremist is a Zealot, with the thinking that they are always correct.

Lord Finnish said that religon is merely less important on politics in this Future, so it's wrong to instantly assume that God or any Deity is forgotten.

Besides, your question was loaded, having God on your 'side' gives you a casus beli against eveyone else and therefore you become a Extremist. Not having God or any Deity is wrong to a theist and merely gives you credence to choose the first option.

Who was morally correct in the Holy Wars of the Levant? The Yahweh followers or the Allah followers? Correct answer, neither. They both had God on their side but they used their Deity as an excuse to fight over Isreal and most of West Asia.

And what about the Northern Pagans that were conquered by the Crusaders, they had their Gods on their side against invaders were they morally better?

Religon in warfare and politics does not make one side morally better because of that, it's still warfare and politics. Crimes are still crimes, regadless if the side causing the crimes claim to have a Deity on their side.

The infantry tree is progressing slowly, due to lack of good ideas with which to fill it. But a model will be finished in following days.
