By the way I've been thinking.
About guns.

I thought that it would be good if humans still used normal rifles and pistols, but they would have recently invented Coil Guns (aka Gauss Weapons) and Railguns for infantry use, latter of which already used by the SPARG assault aircraft. MAGs, Coils and Rails would be in such amount in 2260 as German army had SMG's in early WW2; Mainly officers have them. But later infantry teches would give eventually every soldier them, boosting soft attack dramatically while also boosting defence due to armoring.

The Androids, however would possess the key to Antimatter weapons. The Mainframe, able to reprogram itself and thus create unlimited amount of intelligence could calculate the necessities for Antimatter, and the Androids would produce it making Andoid units VERY dangerous in combat, and give them early access to nukes. Antimatter rifles could easily give some bonus to the few-in-number Androids.

When the Androids are dead, which is only alternative to Robotic World Domination, Major countries especially EC would have access to secret teches that contain Antimatter weapons and WMD's. That would help EC fighting the Alliance.

If a normal infantry unit model 1 (2260 model IIRC) has ~20 soft attack, the antimatter weapons would boost it to near 40, but would increase supply cost due to expenses producing Antimatter.

Hey all, it's good to see this thread rocketing along with lots of activity. Is there some kind of summary of where this mod at? I wanted to read through the previous posts but I'm so short of time I can't do it.

Nuh problem amigo.

What we have finished:

- 2260 setting (what happens, what will happen)
- Country list, meanings and most of flags that will change.
- Ministers for some nations. Don't want to list them all, just ask a country and I'll know if it has ministers.
- Infantry, Aircraft and Naval techtrees. I have stopped making Trees temporarily since there are constantly more ideas coming and I don't wanna make Industry tree dozen times over and over.
- Handful of events, some dozen only.
- Loadscreen and Scenario icon.
- OOBs for all countries.
- 2260 scenario.
- Ideologies
- Unit tree
- Planning WW4, which will be the main focus in this mod.
- Planning things like WMD arrival and other Lore-Gameplay stuff.


OOBs have been finished as mentioned, but only countries with Air Forces and Navies have air/naval bases coded into them. Thus countries like Sweden are without any base harbors, all being only coastal points.

I think thats all.

As you can see, all units are named "Piyade" which in my experience means infantry, so if you could, name the mechanized units to something that in Turkish means "mobile infantry"

Yeh, I remember that. I will add them when I add Turkey airbases 'n' stuff.
Altho I don't give Istanbul 10 forts. It would be insane since nobody could attack Turkey from Europe, since its also Urban.
I'd rather stick with 5 in Instanbul, 3 in others.

I thought it lagged if you get a million buildings all over the map. Since couple of AAs are really not the priority here.

Only units cause lag, since AI has to calculate evey unit's organization, strenght and tactics every day.
Buldings however are statical and have only one purpose. They don't need calculation except when repaired, but thats just marginal.

Androids shouldn't have access to every weapons from the start, it should only get the possibility to research antimatter if EC is dead. A better way to make huge militia like android armies is to create an upgrade system, maybe event based.

Androids shouldn't have access to every weapons from the start, it should only get the possibility to research antimatter if EC is dead. A better way to make huge militia like android armies is to create an upgrade system, maybe event based.

IMO Androids should get more goodies by their conquests. Ultimately, after EC annexation as you suggested they would access the AM.
Good idea, or limitiation if I'd say.

I would suggest giving the Androids blueprints of all teches.

Eventually yes. But not with all haste, it may be easy to reprogram the Mainframe but it is not easy to actually put the ideas in practise.

Not quite.
Android is a human-like robot. Those Star-Wars.. Things are just robots.
Cyborg however is a human with robot-like features. The Overlord is a cyborg.
