Hi, so I was playing as Austria and was the Emperor, but then I didn't get re-elected, Bohemia took the position instead. I had already taken over most of Bohemia, however, and they only have 2 provinces and about 6k men left. This means I can easily annex them. If I do, is an election triggered, or do I automatically become Emperor again, or what sequence of events will take place?

unless you have a queen on the throne, in which case you are ineligible.....vassalising the emperor will also trigger an election.
Vassalizing all the electors in the HRE will grant you emperorship when the current emperor die, if you want to speed up vassalize the emperor or annex the country if it is an OPM
Thanks for the answers guys! I'm really worried about my infamy is the thing--once I was no longer Emperor, Bohemia started calling me out on all these unlawful territories, and now I'm gaining almost 1 infamy a year even with my advisor. I think my best bet is to annex Bohemia while making sure the electors are willing to vote for me--cores are coming soon on some of them but I'm not sure if I'll hit my infamy limit or not before then and don't want to risk it. Heh.
