What happens when you annex the overlord of a pu? I know I've run into this situation before, but I can't remember what happens. Does the pu go away? Do you inherit the junior pu partner as a regular subject? I don't think you inherit the pu. I'd like to know before i do something rash, and torch my playthrough.

For context, I'm going for a world conquest. I started as oirat, and have tagged into yuan. Bohemia is quite large, having annexed most of what would have been the commonweath. They are however, the junior subject of a pu under thuringia. I don't have any idea how that happened. Thuringia is tiny, and I could easily annex them. However, that would mean charging into the hre, and I don't want to build a global coalition if I'm not going to get anything out of it. Its 1718, so I still have time. Bohemia has added all of its land to the hre, so attempting annex them outright will still trigger that global coalition. And, of course, this is a time limited occurence, because Bohemian liberty desire is at 100%, so I cant imagine this situation is gong to last very long.

k, thanks. I was worried it might be something like that. good thing I didn't jump on that. I'm getting down to it though. Ottomans and Russia are crippled, I'm plundering western africa now, and then i'm about out of targets other than Europe. still plenty of time, but imma have to fight that super coalition before long

You can declare on a half a coalition and then the other half spawns whilst you're fighting the first war. If you destroy forts the WS in European provinces will be very poor so them occupying provinces won't be much a concern
