Annexation of Treasury

Playing as Brandenburg, I was pleased to see Lübeck with an overflowing treasury, and as they liked me to the tune of 200, I thought I'd annex. All went fine, except when the big day came, instead of getting 12'000 ducats, I got 33 rusty vessels, and one less vassal. Is this WAD?

You don,t get the treasury or their generals. I guess they thought that would make annexation too powerful.

Wood doesn't rust, and yes it's working as designed. Though it does seem a little silly that the money vanishes into thin air.

At least for a monarchy it is easily justified. The ruler of the vassal keeps it, since it's their personal money.

Obviously the king is in exile and took his money with him. That's how it is in CK2.

Frankfurt seems to be a OPM blessed with money.

You can usually make thousands of ducats just by making a separate peace with them.
