It could make sense, and add a different layer of tradeoffs and gameplay, for an overlord to inherit its subject's treasury (or debts, for that matter) and manpower, adjusted to something like the average of provinces' autonomy (so it could have 50 % of manpower and treasury rather than 100 %, for instance).

Annexation means that the country is now fully administered by its overlord, so if there is a treasury and people ready to fight in that country, they could also be part of the new administration. At the moment, we already get their units (and the provinces, of course). Why not include the rest? Patriotism perhaps, hence adjusting to average autonomy, or something similar.

On another note, it happens frequently that I lose the stacks of my annexed vassal because at the time when the annexation ends, their stacks are in the middle of the fight and therefore lose all their morale due to the adjustements of unit types. Could there be a way around that?

Many thanks for considering this, and have a great holiday.

As a variation, percentage of acquired treasury and manpower could depend on corruption level in subject, which would make monitoring of corruption in subjects more important. See also this suggestion. Debts, however, should always be inherited in full.

Also, subject should not be able to declare bankruptcy if their overlord is not bankrupt, instead overlord should be forced to take some of their loans.
