It seems pretty random to me, I have received cb on Delhi because of this as Sweden (no colonies that could matter), and not received it when a euro annexes other euro. Common bourder helps methinks, relations?

If that was the case then OE would have permanent CBs on most of europe.

EDIT: actually that could be true, I often see mamelukes with billions of CBs for no apperant reason, could be there where they all ended up.

In vanilla the Mameluks are Shiite, and therefore have permanent CBs on all Sunni countries.

I know but if you compare them to other shiite countries you will notice they have far more CBs and against non sunni countries, atleast in my games.

I thought every nation (other than the annexer) has a temporary CB when a nation is annexed.

It is true. Last time I diploannexed another country the tooltip said my worst enemies will get a 2-years-CB. I should have checked this before. Presumably it's the same for forceannexing.

That was my feeling but I have definitely observed otherwise. For now the worst enemy thing seems the most logical explanation. I'll have to pay more attention in future.
