I am playing as the Ottomans,I got 100% warscore against Egypt and I can either get Alexandrie and Damietta and 50 coins with 59% warscore and then annex them with a 2nd war or make them my satellite and get 50 coins with 92% warscore. What do you recommend? Also do I get victory points from my satellites?

You do get VP from satellites. Its up to you really weather to annex or satellite. In my opinion its just more land to manage, and since its a two war affair to annex states with more than one city I think its better to satellite them and concentrate your efforts where you can get more points with less wars.

There is an advantage to both options.

Personally, I feel you should annex Egypt and Tripoli. They give good manpower bonuses and allow you to create supply depots across Africa leading up to Tunis.

My personal opinions aside you need to ask yourself:

Does this land have a choke point that I want to control/garrison? In case of war, will I be able to react to defend it if I choose to? Do I want an AI Army here or to increase my own manpower? Is this location a good place for me to setup supply depots for future attacks?

In my experience there are times to annex and times to create some vassals. You just have to decide how it fits into your overall strategy and what will work best for you in your war efforts.

I "usually" annex to make the borders uniform and for the manpower boost. Of course I say usually in quotes because I'm still on my first campaign as Prussia. Also if you have satellites then you can ask for an expeditionary force and they have to give it to you. It's one of the tips in the tips and tricks thread.

The main problems with annexation are that if it is a different culture as in the Spanish sweeping North Africa, you will get very little from the territory, especially once revolt risk is factored in. A satelite will not have the same problems and will still send you money.

Though as has been pointed out, manpower is almost always more inmportant than money (except the Russians). You can force the satelite to give you any troops they raise as expeditionary forces but that is obviously not the same as rasing another French guard brigade from the points.

There are many tradeoffs. As Spain, I defintely prefer to satelite Algeria or Portugal simply because it takes two wars to annex all of them. Tunisia, on the other hand, is easily swalloed in one gulp. In Morroco the only part you care about is in the north and Tangier has good income, so again I'd annex there.
