annex hre prince after revoking privilegia

hey,
i want to restore the roman empire and therefore need to own all of france.
unfortunately burgundy - a hre prince - got territory in france through core returning in a peacedeal after landfriede.
since i need that province for the achievement i have to either
1.attack by setting burgundy as a secondary participant in a war against an ally outside the hre or
2.maybe diploannex burgundy after revoking the privilegia

is the second option viable or is there a mechanic that prohibits this approach?

i tested it in a different save with console commands.
the second option is valid. but it comes with 2 temporary opinion malus and a buff in diplomatic reputation. i think they are the same as in the early game before revoking.
