more broadly, it should be removable. also, it should allow any wet climate homeworld and not mandate the aquatic trait.
How would your empire develop a Civic they... couldn't use? Remember, Anglers only works on Ocean worlds.

Funny thing, Anglers doesn't actually force you to start on an Ocean world, letting you make your species an evolutionary failure.
Finally, I can roleplay as myself!

There's a "fun" build someone did with the Survivors origin, where you start on a (nuked, irradiated, dead) ex-ocean world, current tomb world, with a steep habitability malus because Aquatic does not recognize the glow-sludege as water.

I think it was called "Fish Out of Water".

Very clever concept.

If you want absolute pain then go Doomsday Anglers on a non-wet world with Non-Adaptative, which gets you 50% habitability on your homeworld, and then it only gets worse!

How did you get that to work?

Can you post a screenshot of the empire?

I'm trying that combo but the game forces Aquatic on the founder species, and then Aquatic wants me to pick Ocean only.

... actually, it looks like Post-Apoc no longer allows Anglers in 3.6 b2.

RIP, dearly departed Fish Out of Water build. You were terrible, and you will be missed.

The civic of corporate version is virtually identical to the regular version, why can't I switch my authority type into or out of corporate?
This is a quirk of how civics work. There are TWO versions of the same civic. Hopefully this gets fixed, but THAT WOULD MEAN FIXING CODE OMG!

Well, must have gotten fixed in 3.5, cause I can't make it now either.

To be clear...

Angler exists as a separate civic for Corp and non-Corp.

It is a civic that cannot be removed or added.

As the non-corp requires non-corp and the corp requries corp, once you have the civic, you cannot switch between corp and non-corp.

For most "cannot add or remove" this makes sense, because there isn't a corp version of it (or a non-corp). But for this one, it makes sense to allow it.
