In my current Amalfi game I the serene doge invited two of my liege's (the Byzantine Emperor) brothers to court.

Anthimos got here first and magically went from being feudal to burgher.

Seeing this I paused the game. And sure enough when Nikephoros came he too transitioned.

Is this working as intended? I have not made such invitations before as a merchant, or if I have I don't remember them.

Landless Courtiers always have the government of their liege. It doesnt actually effect anything though other than their clothes, they can still inherit feudal titles like normal
