2.2 is already making me sad about Synthetic Dawn DLC. Gestalt just gets more bizarre...

Why is this a problem?

Robots get access to the market as everybody else (as long as they are no exterminators).

The system is chosen based on the standing of the planet.
https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Trade#The_Market

So robots admittedly don't generate trade value - but in this particular case maybe no one else nominated one of their planets?

It's a real fringe case, that only happens under very specific circumstances - I have no problem with it.

(But: If there were other nominations, all of which should be more "suitable" than a robot world, it might be a bug - in this case, please report!)

Why shouldn't it be? Machine Empires can use the Galactic Market just like normal empires, only the genocidal species are excluded.
I KNOW they can. It's just the logic behind it is messed up. My capital has highest trade value with the STRONGEST nomination. Despite all of that, it goes to none other than a machine empire with no trade value. I just want to know the actual logic behind who gets nominated for galactic market.

it's weighted. just because you're the strongest doesn't guarantee that you will get it.

a 99% chance to succeed will still fail 1% of the time.

It's like a raffle, where the number of tickets you get is the strength of your nomination. Everyone puts their tickets in the hat, and there's no guarantee that the guy who bought 90 tickets gets his pulled.
