Somebody on Reddit brought up dams, so I'll just quote what I said there:
"I did build a dam up river, and it dam near ruined my city! It dammed one of my river flows and flooded one of my dam islands downstream. Dam it all!"

Oh, even more! How lucky I feel! I was looking at the previous screenshot, looking at those mysterious bridges in the background, wishing I could see where they went, and now I get to see them more clearly. Mysterious and interesting pathways always fascinated me, which is a big part of my fascination with city builders. I've seen so little of your city, and already I love it!

(PS, for the young folk around here, yes, this is what WE did for fun. No graphical interface, you only had dos. And no mouse, everything was done with the keyboard. Now, do you understand why I get annoyed when people like CO makes a ground breaking game, and people nitpick about silly little things?

dwarf fortress, it's quite entertaining if you can get around the UI (even with a tileset)
