Simple answer: GamersGate (as it is owned by Paradox as it has been confirmed many times).

http://www.gamersgate.com/

As far as I know - GamersGate is not owned by Paradox anymore. It used to be. Now it's just based in the same building as Paradox.

However - I would still advice people to buy their PI games there. Seems they are the ones that deliver the best service on PI games.

As Frederik said...he still has a minority stock from Gamersgate. Means...he still earns money from there.

And yes...Gamersgate is the best way to buy Paradox Games. No silly restrictions like in Steam. Only easy downloading...and then playing. One downsite from gamersgate is..that it isnt very fast....especially at Release Days. So for sunday.....i bet we have to wait again hours for the SF download.

Luckily it won't be 600 Mbs big. 20-50 Mbs is still doable at 20 Kb/s. Would only take 45 minutes.

I used many buy & download sites so far and I am most satissfied with GamersGate.Clear and easy usage, visualy nice, fast.

Recently noticed excellent weekend 50% offs for some genres of games..nice.

I am achieving stabile 500 mb/s download with it for every game I purchased, downloaded and re- downloaded ever.

Same with me. I cannot confirm reports of slow speeds, but then maybe it is because I am based in Europe, as is the gamersgate server?

I know Paradox will not alienate its business partners by recommending one download site over another, but gamersgate is probably the best d/l site out there. Especially with all the hot offer weeks going one there :D

Gamer's gate is just fine, got decent download speed, maybe as said before, I'm in Europe... Also there is a nice -50% discount on HOI3 if you preorder and bought it before the 6th... So HOI3 + Semper Fi at 35€ it is almost given if you look the other game prices and the amount of hours you spend on Parradox games !

Gamersgate says:
File size: 116.97 MB

But yes...i doubt we will need more then 1-2 hours on sunday.

Still hope Gamersgate buys bigger server for the future. Latest in August when Vicky2 will be released....we will have the same problem like last year with HoI3.

Maybe it would help....not to download it in the first release Hour.... ;)
But we are all so impatient. :D

Of course. I forgot about the map changes (new city provinces) which requires a big .bmp file and large cache files to be included. That's probably much of those 116 MBs

Waiting!

"""""""""""""""
Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have
striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The
hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on
other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war
machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of
Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of
1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats,
in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their
strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home
Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions
of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to
Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in
battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great
and noble undertaking.

If I am correct this is largest expansion ever from Paradox(Armageddon was what, some 40 MB)

The smallest one is Rome vae Victis 9.09MB! The second smallest one is HttT which is crazy since it added so much stuff for a mere 14.59MB. But it was 29€ at release iirc which i think makes it the most expensive expansion per MB.

And i can't recommend gamersgate enough to the OP.
It's reallly good for all the reasons listed by previous posters.

With your crazy alcohol prices and being the sole company that provides my fix for deep deep strategy games (together with AGEOD), I am most comfortable and happy with the provider that keeps you in business the longest!

I can spare the €5 price difference between providers, as gaming is my cheapest hobby in hours/€ (the others being the stock market, my girlfriend and drinking).

Also, when I was a little kid, I used to pirate every single game since my allowance did not allow for a lot of purchases, so now I can give back. This was in the old old old old days (1987) when I had to ride my bicycle for an hour to go to the only store that sold C64 casettes for, top of my head Dfl 25,- (= 10 weeks allowance). Take that, Internet Generation!
