Ancient world map?

Hi there... is anyone working on a map that covers just Greece, slavic adriatic coast, southern Italy (Magna Grecia), Persia and Egypt?

It would be extremely nice, I think... unfortunately, assuming that I am (and I'm not) able to paint it, I can't even open Magellan so I'm a little struck

I think that with it we might be able to finally reproduce the ancient world concept of city-state... ellenic leagues etc... Alexandros taking it all... that would kick ass.

Anyone willing to sacrifice?

Check out the use mods sub-forum; if someone is making an ancient Greece scenario, they're probably working on map for it, also

Ok, I didn't find anything really fitting, but let's wait a bit, maybe a euro-map might work a little better than the current one, although it still won't be perfect.
Anyway, as my grandad always says, "instead of nothing is better instead" (ok, so the translation from venetian dialect to english doesn't work THAT well )

If you have to do one for Roma Universalis, then it will almost surely be quite perfect!
Just to know, how many provinces would you put in Greece? I think that this is the point: more fractioned Greece=more fun.
Anyway, I am not here to ask you to start to work on it soon... I would just be extremely happy to see such a cool map around, whenever it comes*, ready to be used for tons of scenarios and campaigns!


*plus honestly, I have no idea at all about how much time it would take to make (such) a map.

Honestly I don't know yet, I have to refresh my ancient history a bit first. I was thinking of zooming in the map a bit more than the regular one in EUII.

Haven't decided that yet, but a complete world map sure would be nice.

I think the "world map" on that site might be the best option, then it can be zoomed in quite a bit.

I've thought about doing this too actually, cut the map off at the southernmost extreme at the southern tip of Arabia, northernmost extreme at Scotland, westernmost at Ireland and easternmost at Japan. PTI off the Atlantic and the Pacific beyond the coast.

Hi tutankamon here I was wondering, since I don't have any experience in making a map do you think this is possible to make? and can i use the existing map and just modify that??
