Yes, a little badge that is only added to players who have kept chirps toggled on and don't have a mod to move it to the side of the screen. One of the first chirps the bird makes is "Do you agree that I can chirp to Paradox that I am working as they designed me?" and if we say yes, and if the bird chirps an intercession for us, we get the badge. It is taken away as soon as we turn the chirps off or remove consent for the bird to report on us.

Players with the ChirpSupporter badge get special privileges like getting all dlc a day early and being able to edit other people's posts to make it look like they said really bizarre things.

THB, I like the placement of the chirper. Centered and at the top of the screen. For what it does, gives important messages about your city, that location is perfect for me. I can still see my city perfectly, and when a message pops up with a chirp, I know exactly where to go to find it and its easily readable. I dislike it when popups are not centered, as I sometimes miss them, and I hate the ones that force a change in game pace (like SC4). Plus, they don't cover up anything important, so I can continue expanding my city without having to close any popups in the way. Plus, he's adorable. I hope CO starts cranking out plushies of them soon!

Won't be turning Chirper in my games. Fine if other people do it though.

Frustrated.. Yes.. 30, people.. I don't think so... Maybe 30% of total players imo.

Someone should start a poll and find out ;)!"

agreed. trying to add a statistical value to this issue is not possible at this point. but, what we do know is that Chirper has been an issue from the very start and, as more Let's Play and Twitch videos surface, #chirpergate continues to gain momentum. that tells me that this issue isn't being fueled by '30 people in an echo chamber' who have a problem with poor Chirpy, it tells me Chirper is flawed game mechanic and that the compromise solution announced by CO a couple weeks ago is going to need addition evaluation and review. however, and i cannot stress this next point enough: the focus on #chirpergate also tells me that the core game is most likely pretty solid, otherwise we would be hearing about it! from what i've watched, most players appear to be having fun with the game, and that makes me very happy.

Honestly it just needs to be movable to one of the corners so we can get it "out of the way" but still be there to provide helpful info. One thing I saw on some streams and in Skye's videos was the chirper was helpful in putting a problem to your attention (someone complaining they have no water or electricity). But I personally just don't like it right in the center and it's "always on top" of anything you pop up or click on. Certainly I'll have a better idea once I have the game, but an option to put it in the upper right or left would be ideal I think.

I don't know what is wrong with people who want Chirper deleted. He is just a nice way to say what is good and bad with your city. He might be annoying at times, but is it his guilt that people have so many cats that need help?

I wouldn't mind the Chirper if the 'chirps' were not so spammy.. but since they are I can see myself completely ignoring it.
Now, if I could unfollow (or filter) the crazy cat lady and other similar spammers ;) I would likely want to leave it in place.

Without making a fool of myself as I haven't played yet, I'm guessing the desire to remove it will eventually be because of redundant and useless tweets. How many of us modify the stock EUIV or CKII messages that we a) don't care about, or b) have read so many times it means nothing anymore.

What 'we' want is just the option to turn the Chirper off completely. We can disable the popups and sound, but the bird still stays. Fortunately it looks like modding will be able to remove it, and if that's so, this issue becomes a non-issue.

If you watch enough live streams or Let's Plays, you'll notice that very quickly you will start seeing the same message repeating over and over again. Half the time I don't even know if Chirpers messages are relevant or even useful, and I'd rather not have to wade through the chaff to get to the wheat.

The main issue with Chirper is its position on the screen. Either moving it to the corner of the screen or have it auto hide when it has nothing to show. It doesn't need to go.

One of the live streamers mentioned they wished they could filter the chirper content so they dont have to read the fluff and get the urgent need to take care of messages,,,

I think it might be a nice addition to have the blue bird go red when a warning icon message pops up until you address the situation(or even briefly) so if the chirper is set to not open you still get the warning notifications through the chirper via color.

Sim City 4, your favorite game, also had it's Chirper with silly text messages down at the bottom of the screen.

This is the reasons why I just don't understand chirper complaints!
I've played SC4, and dealt with all its UI problems and you just don't realise how ridiculous the chirper complaints are, if you haven't played SC4. If you did, you'd pretty much know how "princess on the pea"-style the chirper haters behave like.

If chirper is incredibly annoying to you, don't even try playing simcity 4, because that UI will make you literally DIE.

I don't follow this argument: why should being annoyed by something be acceptable because you are not actually killed by it? If you're annoyed then you are; referencing the annoyance level to death doesn't seem a valid argument to me.

I'll be happy if when you choose not to see the chirps you don't get the ding-ding and only the graphical chirp counter; currently you get the ding-ding even on cinematic mode, so even if you want no UI at all, you are going to be reminded of chirping weather you like it or not! I want an option to disable the ding-ding if it's not implied enough by me switching off auto-open. Perhaps I should be grateful that CO didn't drive to my house and shoot me though.
