What I am trying to say is that Matrix Games is producing a grand strategic Napoleonic game by David Heath. They are taking a lot from Empires in Arms for the design and system.

The Frank Hunter game was also supposed to be published by Matrix, but then it turned out that he still had a contract to do a similar game for someone else, so it got cancelled. The development on the current one, called Napoleonic Wars, is slow, but seems to be progressing and the game is due out in the fall sometime.

I want it.

I never understood why everyone would complain about how boring minors are or *gasp* how dreadful peace time can be. Hell, in most of my games, not only did I enjoy playing minors the most, I actively tried to stay at peace as long as possible. I mean there was a lot to do in peace time; manage diplomatic affairs, rebuild your militray from the last bout of chronic insanity :p, build up your provences, ect. I never found myself bored at these times.

I think people are jsut a little bit to blood thirsty here..... :p

Actually, I think a Napolenoic scenario could work very well with the HoI engine (the way capture of provinces are handeled etc) but it needs extensive modding of course. (A very limited, new tech tree, new units, ways to slow down units etc) But that is a discussion for another forum!
