First, probably a short game as Brazil and then a full blown game as Italy or US. Germany will come soon after.
Soviets will be good, With the new artillery stuff i can imagine the prebattle bombardments of the east front being truly EPIC.

It's going to be the USA for me. Its actually really hard to screw up a game as them, so I'll be using my military to hold live-fire wargames in Central America. Oh, and I won't be telling any of the unwilling participants about it until B-52s fill their radar screens.
I think I'm gonna be giving Nationalist China a try first and really give meaning to Human Wave.

So I have a silly question. Did this work in HoI 2: copying the save files from one install of the game and pasting them in the save folder for a fresh install on a different computer?
I'm somewhat of a computer noob so some help in "saving" the old saves would be much appreciated (and hopefully it would still work in AoD). Otherwise I would have to wait until June to start a "real" campaign. From previous experience, three months just isn't enough for me to complete one epic 1936 start campaign.

As long as the checksum for the two HoI2 installs is the same, the saved games will run just fine. I would be incredibly surprised if you can port an HoI2 game to AoD, though.

Maybe first I'm going to be playing as Italy or Canada for learning all new feature of the game.And then,play Germany or Japan.

I have never played any allied country before and never considered to play in aod. because Axis rocks, allies sucks.

Communist China. I like the idea of starting as a small nation (less to manage) and enveloping a continent.
The US first - it gives me upwards of 6 years to get a handle on all the new stuff without the nuisance of fighting a war.
