A hammered Soviet command would be quite realistic, at least from army level downwards. I read somewhere that a Soviet divisional commander got wasted and caused a huge traffic jam and started abusing the traffic officer. At that time, a staff car rocked up and Marshal Rokossovsky got out to lend a hand; the divisional commander wet himself (not literally), did a runner and was presumably court-marshalled for his effort. Sorry, slightly off-topic.
