Yeah I figured that Sweden was so low on that Wiki link of alcohol consumption because it probably costs 200 bucks to get hammered in Sweden.

A pint from a club in Norway costs at least 50 NOk+, in other words 5,63 euro or 8,26 USD. I think the prices in sweden is fairly similar. Of course, the more exclusive clubs charges a little more, maybe 70/80ish.

Well Valve spring to mind. Their frequently falling over themselves to give free stuff away to their community (just look at team fortress 2's support), and the modding scene for the likes of half-life 1/2 has been huge.

Can someone can explain me why some oversea province are not rated with the main land for france ? By the way we are 7th, 8th and 51th. I always thought UK was better but apparently not.

And the price in Paris for a pint is around 5 or 6E.

I will imigrate to scandinavia .

If PI guy open a donate things I will be glade to give some $.


Some bands did it selling their cd by digital download (I'm thinking about Radiohead and NIN) maybe you can be the first in the video game industry ^^.

In fact most of the beer I drink ends up being roughly in the $6-7 range, so about 5 euros.

Now, it's been a while since I've seen any group of fans do this, but I figure that PI's fans are rabid enough to pull it off.

In my much younger days I frequented the StarSiege:Tribes forums, and many of the fans of the game decided to pool money together to buy the dev team for Dynamix a nice present of various alcoholic brews. At the time I was too young to have a credit card or send any money via pay pal, but would have if I could have.

This brings me to my idea.

But first, a question for PI. Do you guys drink beer, and if so what brands do you prefer?

Now, for the rest of us, how many would be willing to donate if PI wishes for us to give them such a present?

It wouldn't have to be much if we get enough people, and I figure we could have someone who is trustworthy on this site such as a moderator or a member of PI (obviously the person would have to reside in Sweden, or be reasonably close) manage the PayPal account and make the required purchases for us, then we could truly show our appreciation!

What do you guys think? What does PI think? Who's comin' with me?!

A hammered Soviet command would be quite realistic, at least from army level downwards. I read somewhere that a Soviet divisional commander got wasted and caused a huge traffic jam and started abusing the traffic officer. At that time, a staff car rocked up and Marshal Rokossovsky got out to lend a hand; the divisional commander wet himself (not literally), did a runner and was presumably court-marshalled for his effort. Sorry, slightly off-topic.
