Now i don't know much about game balance or developing in a programming sense but i would like to put some input even if its small into the game if possible.

The idea i had for designing your race traits using the ones currently in the game and change it to physiology of the race where when you take a positive one it automatically has a negative effect so you make your race very specialised with horrible defects a example for two traits i had in mind as a taste.

Positive Agrarian and Negative Industrious would become Environmentalist
Food: +15% Minerals: -15%

Positive Industrious and Negative Agrarian would become Tycoonist
Minerals: +15% Food: -15%

Instead of making them selectable start make them a slider starting from the middle and the more you slide to one side the higher the positives but also the worst negatives.
