A Mod idea occured to me. A Mod that whould have A very unstable roman empire, and it would start at around 40BC , and sometime between 20BC and 20AD jesus christ would be born and by events would convert some people to christianity, and then we could play as some barbarian tribes from north europe , or as romans to try and shut up christians, or we could play as a faction created in galilee called... Lets say: Disciples, and it would start with one province but buffed, and the idea is to try and spread christianity, and then if we manage to convert Rome, we can create the holy seed. and play as the pope. or if some alternative history outcome.

the idea is after some centuries of successfull christianity, mohamed is born and by an event we know it and then his goal is to spread islamic religion.

what say you?

I think there is a reason no strategy games that cover the migration period, simply because it would be very hard -trying not to use the word impossible- to do. They tried it in a total war game and that didn't really work out. Plus it's not called the dark ages for nothing, there is basically no historical documents from the end of rome until the medieval period.

Let's say I wanted to play the Vandals... how the heck would you simulate roaming from modern day hungary, through italy, france, spain, over gibraltar through north africa and then back to italy? xD
